Day 23 - Violence

Screaming, crying,
yelling, and shouting,
raising one's voice.
Indeed it's all violence.

But so is someone
forcefully entering another's space,
demanding something
that the hosts have said no to.
Time and again.
but you won't stop.
You ask, and ask, and ask,
till your ask is no more an ask
but a forceful demand,
hiding, under the pretext of a plea

Remember, the Brits?
They entered the land
to do harmless business
What they really took away
were dreams, hopes and lives
for over two hundred years.

Someday, I hope
you'll understand how silence
can be a more brutal violence!
And one's yelling can only be
a helpless plea, to stop.
